If you are cursing your decision of buying a 16GB iPhone 6 or 6s then we have a good news for you. SanDisk has launched a new case with flash storage built in for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. SanDisk is calling it iXpand Memory Case which connects via the Lightning port of your iPhone. Since Apple doesn’t allow to use any third party flash storage memory as a part of the main memory, you will have to use this case with a companion app on your iPhone.

Sadly SanDisk has made these cases only for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s devices. Which means if you have older or Plus variant iPhones, then you are out of luck. The iXpand Memory Case is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants for $59, $99 and $129 respectively.

There is also an optional 1900mAh battery module that can be attached to the case and is available for extra $40.

With extra storage case and attachable battery module, it looks like SanDisk is trying to bring the modular phone concept to the iPhones. The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case is available in Red, Gray, Sky and Mint color options.
